Chapeltown couple conquer Himalayan Trek

27 January 2026
A courageous Chapeltown couple have taken on the challenge of a lifetime to raise vital funds for St Luke’s.

Johanna and Mark Holden recently completed an extraordinary Overseas Himalayan Trek, journeying through some of the world’s most breath-taking landscapes in support of our care.

Their adventure began in Dharamsala, with their route taking them through the stunning Uhi Valley and deep into remote Himalayan regions, camping along the way and reaching altitudes exceeding 3,000 metres!

Johanna and Mark chose to take on the trek in memory of their parents, and especially to honour the care and support St Luke’s provided for Mark’s mum and family. Their determination, generosity and heartfelt motivation have inspired donations totalling an incredible £2,265, helping us continue to support patients and families across Sheffield.
