We’re so excited to launch this year’s Be Part of Something Big – our month-long volunteering campaign!

After a brilliant start in 2024, we’re going even bigger in 2025, with a full month of inspiring opportunities to get involved and make a real difference in the Sheffield community by volunteering with St Luke’s.

Whether you’ve got a few hours or a full day to spare, there’s a role for everyone. Throughout the month, we’ll be spotlighting the many ways you can get involved – from Retail & Donation Centre roles, to Corporate Volunteering and Event & Fundraising support.

Taster Sessions

Curious about volunteering but not sure where to start? We’ve introduced Taster Sessions designed to fit around you. Come along, try something new, and see what volunteering at St Luke’s is all about – no commitment required.

Taster sessions are available across our retail shops and events – and we’ll work with your schedule to make it easy.

Retail Volunteering

Try your hand at Retail Volunteering this month! Whether it’s helping out in one of our shops across Sheffield, sorting donations at our Donation Centre, or researching and listing items for our eBay store – every role makes a difference. Why not bring a friend along and give it a go together?

Looking for a meaningful team day? Join us for a Corporate Volunteering experience and get stuck in at the heart of our operations. Whether you're supporting in-store or behind-the-scenes at our Donation Centre, it's the perfect mix of giving back, team-building, and having fun together.

Events & Fundraising Volunteering

Got a busy schedule? No problem! Our Event & Fundraising roles are flexible and great for individuals or groups. You could help out with city-wide collections (including at Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, or local supermarkets), cheer on runners at the Sheffield 10K, or light candles at our beautiful Festival of Light.
