St Luke’s shops
By donating items and shopping with us, you help St Luke’s provide specialist palliative care, comfort and companionship to everyone affected by advanced or end of life illness in Sheffield – at no cost to patients and their families.
Shop or donate pre-loved items to fund local hospice care
With less than a quarter of our costs covered by NHS funding, St Luke’s depends on the kindness and generosity of our local community to help us raise the £11m of the £15m needed each year to continue providing our services.
That’s where our retail chain makes such a difference. Every item donated and every purchase made in charity shops generates around £4m each year, helping us keep hospice care and support free for patients and families across Sheffield.

Kilner Way was also St Luke’s first-ever department-style shop, and it remains one of our best places to browse for larger finds.
We have two dedicated furniture shops: Kilner Way and Crookes. These stores sell good-quality pre-loved furniture alongside other general charity shop items. They’re also the only St Luke’s shops that accept furniture donations.
You can donate furniture at our Kilner Way and Crookes shops. These are our specialist furniture locations, and they can handle larger donations safely. If you need help getting items to our stores, you can also book a free furniture collection with us.

To help our teams work safely, not every shop accepts donations every day. Please see our Donate Items page for more information.
Our Donation Centre works as a behind-the-scenes hub for sorting and preparing donations. You may hear it described as St Luke’s Hospice warehouse shop, because it supports both our high street shops and online sales. It also offers an easy drive-in drop-off service, making it one of the simplest ways to donate pre-loved goods in Sheffield.
