They’re hitting the Three Peaks for St Luke’s

STAFF at Sheffield engineering company LB Foster are heading for the hills as they get into training for our Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

The celebrated 26 mile trek takes walkers through the stunning Yorkshire scenery of the Dales National Park, starting with smallest of the peaks, Pen-y-ghent, before going on over 12 hours to tackle the peaks of Ingleborough and Whernside, climbing a final total of 1585 metres!

The St Luke’s team, including the walkers from LB Foster, will be taking up the challenge on Saturday June 8, with participants paying a £30 deposit fee and then raising a minimum of £200 per person – all of which will go to our patient care.

LB Foster HR Business Partner Emily Kay said: “St Luke’s is a charity so close to many people’s hearts in Sheffield and we at LB Foster are honoured to be able to partner up with them to raise as much money as we can for such a wonderful cause.

“We are excited to take on our first challenge of the year with the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and walk on behalf of everyone who has been cared for by St Luke’s in their last special moments of life."

Our Corporate Fundraising manager Jack Kidder added: “LB Foster recently launched a charity partnership with us and the Three Peaks will be their first big fundraising event.

“We look forward to a successful year working with them and they can be assured that every penny they raise will make a massive difference to the lives of all our patients and their families.”
