Sheffield mums raise £22,500 with Big Sparkly Fundraiser

A GROUP of campaigning Sheffield mums have raised more than £22,500 for two of the city’s top charities with their latest event.

The Sheffield Mums Against Cancer (SMAC) Big Sparkly Fundraiser at the St Paul’s Mercure Hotel supported both St Luke’s and Weston Park Cancer Charity, with guests enjoying dinner, a raffle, silent auction and live auction.

SMAC is the group headed by Ceri Rogers and her friends that has, over the past nine years raised in excess of £100,000 for local cancer charities.

“This is a truly extraordinary achievement,” said our Senior Fundraising Manager Megan Senior.

“The difference they make to St Luke’s is transformational and Ceri and her tireless group of friends are an outstanding example of fundraising at its finest.”

The group’s next event will be a golf day on July 12 at Dore and Totley Golf Club. For more information visit the SMAC Facebook group.
