SCHOOLGIRL Jessica Fiddes beat the heatwave with a cooling haircut…and raised money for St Luke’s and Weston Park Hospital at the same time!
Jessica, who is a pupil at Brunswick Primary School, raised an impressive £1,211.10 for St Luke’s when she hosted a raffle, cake sale and games at her school summer fair.
And the biggest fundraiser of the day came when she had 12 inches of hair cut off and what was left died purple!
Her efforts were inspired by the care her great uncle Paul is receiving at St Luke’s and the support stepdad Robert is getting from Weston Park.
Mum Lesley commented: “Jessica has been so incredibly brave and has done an incredible job fundraising – I couldn’t be more proud.”
