Runners celebrate their places in the London Marathon lineup

18 April 2018

THEY’RE ready for the off as they celebrate their place in the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon.

The Virgin Money Sheffield Lounge has awarded three places to three Sheffield causes to take part in this weekend’s hugely popular Virgin Money London Marathon.

The Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Coun Ann Murphy, joined other special guests at the Virgin Money Sheffield Lounge to help the trio – Justin James, Stuart Rogers and Tim Renshaw - to celebrate their months of training before they set off to join other runners on this weekend’s start line.

The three will be raising money for St Luke’s, the Cathedral Archer Project and Sheffield Mind as they complete their marathon challenge.

And getting the fundraising off to a great start, the event which was attended by such popular city sporting names as Jonny Nelson, Ben Symonds, Jenny Tong and Freddie Woodward, raised more than £500 for the three charities.
