Lord Mayor enjoys a pizza the action at Craft and Dough

Lord Mayor of Sheffield Coun Anne Murphy enjoyed a tasty slice of the fundraising action as Sheffield’s Milestone Group launched a partnership with St Luke’s on National Pizza Day!

The nationally acclaimed Milestone Group includes The Milestone gastro pub at Kelham Island, Bocelli 1831 on Ecclesall Road, Inc Roof Bar at the New Krynkl development on Shalesmoor and Artisan pizza restaurants Craft and Dough at Kelham Island and The Wig and Pen in Sheffield city centre.

And on National Pizza Day, Coun Murphy tucked into a taste of fundraising pleasure as Craft and Dough launched a special St Luke’s Pizza, with a £1 donation from every pink pizza sold going direct to our patient care.

The exclusive one off pink-based pizza – infused with beetroot to give it the distinctive colour - marked the start of a partnership that will include an ongoing donation from two of the Craft and Dough pizzas, ongoing events and a special cook off between the group’s chefs and chefs from St Luke’s.

The two pizzas that will offer a donation to St Luke’s every time they’re purchased will be the popular “Henderson’s Relish and Goat Cheese” and newly created ‘Stilton Sausage and Fennel” off the new menu. These will be available at both Craft and Dough sites – Campo Lane and Kelham Island.

In addition, the restaurant will also be offering St Luke’s participants in the Sheffield Half Marathon a special meal deal on the day of the popular running challenge.

“We are delighted that the Milestone Group have come up with such an excellent and innovative programme of support,” said our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.

“What could be easier than enjoying a great meal and knowing you are supporting St Luke’s at the same time?”

Milestone Group owner Nina Patel-Bigland commented: “We are looking forward to working with St Luke’s and supporting such a great charity close to the hearts of many people in Sheffield.”

And Beth Green, Commercial Manager for the group, added: “We're really excited about this fantastic opportunity to partner with St Luke's.

“We've heard a lot about the charity and until you experience it first hand, you never really realise how much of an amazing job they do, not just for the patients, but also for the families and friends involved.

“We very much look forward to strengthening this partnership throughout the year and are proud to support such a fantastic charity."
