Teacher Faye runs up a total of £1,000 for our patients

PUPILS at Sheffield’s St Marie’s School have to be quick off the mark if they want to keep up with teacher Faye Draper.

For enthusiastic runner Faye has recently completed four top challenges – the Sheffield 10K,  the “Tententen” 10K event in Endcliffe Park, the  Worksop Halloween Half Marathon and, most recently, the popular Percy Pud 10K .

And her sporting efforts have raised more than £1,000 for our patient care.

Faye’s intention was to raise enough money to pay for an hour of care at St Luke’s – a figure estimated at £1,029 for just 60 minutes, the majority of which is provided by the generosity of the people of Sheffield.

“St Luke's is a charity Faye is passionate about,” said our Community Fundraising Manager Megan Senior.

“Having lost her father earlier in the year, she knows first hand how vital the support is that hospices provide for patients and their loved ones.”
