Dogs take the lead on sponsored walk

WHO let the dogs out? Well actually that would be the team at Sheffield’s Millhouses Pub!

The popular Abbeydale Road gastro pub is hosting a sponsored dog walk in support of St Luke’s on Saturday July 22.

Starting at 10.30am, the two hour walk will be starting at The Millhouses Pub and will then head up through Millhouses Park, through Ecclesall Woods and back to bar and restaurant for the finish.

A cost of £10 per person will include tea or coffee at the start and pie and peas on arrival back at the pub and a bone for all the dogs too.

Everybody taking part will also be asked to raise money for our patient care.

“This is a fantastic fundraising effort and one that can include the whole family and even the family dog,” said our Community Fundraising Manager Megan Senior.

“We’re hoping that as many people and their pets as possible will be striding out on the day, knowing that every penny they raise will be making a massive difference to the lives of St Luke’s patients and their families.”
