Take to the skies for the first St Luke’s Wing Walk

01 February 2017

ONLY the bravest fundraisers need to apply as we take to the skies for a spot of daredevil wing walking!

We will be holding our first wing walk event on Saturday September 16 at Wickenby Aerodrome in Lincolnshire.

Participants are provided with a comprehensive ground and safety briefing before they are strapped into a secure five point harness and take off on their ten minute experience, including zooms and climbs at speeds up to 130mph and passes near to friends and family on the ground below.

There is a £50 registration fee for the event and participants are also asked to raise at least £800 for St Luke’s.

Wing walkers must be no heavier than 12 stone two pounds and aged between 18 and 65.

Participants between the ages of 65 and 75 need a GP’s declaration of good health before being allowed to take part.

For more information about taking part please email the Community Fundraising team or call 0114 235 7553.
