Fellow volunteers describe Sarah Bilson as a superstar - and it’s easy to see why. Twice a week, Sarah travels across Sheffield from Woodhouse to volunteer at our Abbeydale Road shop. Even when her car is off the road, she still makes the journey, taking two buses so she can be there for a full day on the shop floor.
Sarah has been part of the St Luke’s volunteering community for eight years, bringing warmth, dedication and plenty of humour to every shift. From sorting stock to serving customers on the till - her favourite role - she truly embodies the spirit of what makes our retail teams so special.
“I don’t feel like a superstar,” Sarah says, “but I do like volunteering here because it’s happy and we all get on as a team.”
