We are delighted to have received a remarkable £10,000 in matched funding thanks to the fundraising efforts of Abbeydale Golf Club’s captains Mark Rendall and Sally Colver, and the generosity of the May Hearnshaw Charitable Trust.
The trust pledged to match every pound raised by Mark and Sally up to £10,000 as part of Abbeydale’s support of St Luke’s as their Charity of the Year - and the captains have already smashed that milestone.
Mark and Sally’s fundraising journey continues until the end of 2025, with more events and activities planned in support of patient care at St Luke’s.
“We are so grateful to the May Hearnshaw Charitable Trust for this incredibly generous donation, and to Mark, Sally and the members of Abeydale Golf Club for their commitment to St Luke’s this year so far,” said St Luke’s Community & Events Fundraising Manager, Katie Fielding.
“The impact of this level of support extends far beyond a financial total, it means better care, more comfort and more dignity for the people we look after.”
