Splinters trio hit the heights as well as the high notes

THEY sing, they dance, they act…and they raise money for our patient care!.

Splinters Theatre Group have selected St Luke’s as their charity of the year, pledging to raise £1,000 over the next 12 months.

And giving an early boost to the campaign, group members Adam Walker, Josh Holliday and Simon Addy took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and raised £275, with the total still going up.

The trio of intrepid fundraisers reached the top of Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough – a total of 40 km of walking and a 5200 ft ascent – in just 10 hours and 55 minutes.

As well as encouraging audiences to support us, the Splinters team also have a number of special fundraising events lined up, including putting a team together for our popular Night Strider challenge in October.

“We are delighted that such a talented and enthusiastic group of people are extending their support for us,” said our Fundraising Assistant Noni Bryson.

“We look forward to seeing their next show, West Side Story, and also to seeing them taking part in St Luke’s fundraising activities.”
