Gleadless

Could you volunteer at our Gleadless shop?

We are currently looking for new volunteers to help us out with the following roles. Click here for instructions on how to apply, or please email [email protected].

These volunteer opportunities are available throughout the week at our Gleadless shop.

Meet & Greet Volunteer

We’re looking for somebody energetic and an enthusiastic to accept donations from our customers and take them to our stock room. This would suit a real people person – whether you would like to develop your customer service skills or simply meet and chat to lots of new people! Please bear in mind that this will involve carrying donations inside so is suitable for somebody who is happy to be on their feet. Manual training will be provided.

eBay Researcher

There is a large volume of sorted stock for eBay, which needs researching, pricing and packaging up for eBay

At Gleadless we receive many donations which would be suitable for our eBay shop; for example vinyls, jewellery, antiques and high-end labels. We need somebody with an eagle-eye for quality who will be able to research, price and package these items to send to our eBay headquarters in Crookes.

Bookworms

Are you a book lover? We need volunteers to help us sort through our kindly donated books, research the more unusual titles for eBay and Amazon, and keep our book department well organised and full of interesting reads. We receive a high volume of book donations so there are multiple positions available.

Bric-a-Brac

We have a large section designated to bric-a-brac, so we need volunteers on a daily basis to look after this area! Your role will involve sorting and pricing items and keeping the bric-a-brac section looking fresh and tidy.
