We have a range of exciting opportunities for both groups and individuals to get involved in, from cheering on our runners at the Sheffield 10K and Sheffield Half Marathon, to supporting teams at Sheffield United or Sheffield Wednesday, or even helping with the magical candle lighting at the Festival of Light! Event volunteering is flexible, fun, and doesn’t require a long-term commitment - perfect for those looking to make a difference in a short amount of time!

Volunteering at events is a great way to meet new people, choose from a variety of fun and engaging roles, develop new skills, and enjoy the flexibility of ad-hoc volunteering.

Events Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers who can join our team Monday - Friday during the morning or As an Ad-Hoc Event Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting St Luke’s Hospice assisting with various fundraising and supporter events. This flexible role is ideal for individuals who want to make a difference but may not be able to commit to a regular schedule. (16+)

Fundraising Telephone & Admin Assistant

We are looking for a volunteer to work from our fundraising office at Little Common Lane, to help with a variety of tasks which mostly involve making outbound calls and some admin work to support this. (16+)

Collection Volunteer

As a Collection Volunteer, you’ll support our hospice by collecting donations using our magenta buckets and contactless machines at locations across Sheffield. Roles could include volunteering in supermarkets, at football matches, and at events throughout the year, giving you flexibility to choose when and where you volunteer. (16+)

Sheffield 10K Volunteers

Join us for an exciting day at the Sheffield 10K on Sunday 29 September 2025! As charity partners, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help marshal our section of the race. You’ll keep runners on track, assist with enquiries, and cheer on the amazing fundraisers supporting St Luke’s. With an approximate start time of 9am and a finish around midday, it’s a great way to make a big impact in just a few hours. (16+)
