Surgical gown donation keeps our staff and patients safe

SHEFFIELD company Steris Instrument Management Services has made a donation of vital personal protection equipment to St Luke's.

The Steris team made a special delivery of more than 300 sterile gowns after hearing our plea for the PPE items needed to keep both staff and patients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company decontaminates surgical instruments for all of the hospitals in and around Sheffield and was happy to supply some of its PPE stock to our team.

“Once again we are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Sheffield business community,” said our Director of Care and Lead for Healthcare Partnerships Jo Lenton.

“Thanks to the support of companies like Steris, we have been able to maintain our services at this most difficult time.”
