Vulcan Tough Mudders feel the heat for Master Cutler’s Challenge

THE team at Sheffield company Vulcan Seals doubled their £1,000 charity target as they proved they have what it takes to be champion Tough Mudders.

Between them the 22 adventure seekers managed to raise a marvellous £1,998 when they took part in the notoriously difficult, wet and muddy ten mile Tough Mudder obstacle course.

And that money is going to the 2019 Master Cutler’s Challenge which is this year raising money for St Luke’s and Rotherham Hospice.

“The Tough Mudder really is one of the most demanding fundraising challenges you can take on and we are delighted that the Vulcan Seals team did so well,” said our Corporate Fundraising manager Jack Kidder.

“Their outstanding efforts really will make a massive difference to the lives of hospice patients and their families in both Sheffield and Rotherham.”

Vulcan’s Jack Skelton commented: “We found Tough Mudder to be a perfect team building exercise for Vulcan.

“It certainly pushed us out of our comfort zone and each member of the team were incredibly supportive of each other, both in the training in lead up to the event and on the day.

“The wet weather and challenging obstacles were simply a small price to pay for the opportunity and reward to support the charities and their exceptional work."
