STUDENTS from Longley Park Sixth Form College proved they were champion footballers and fundraisers when they organised a special event in aid of our patient care.
They organised a Staff v Students football match, which was held at Concord Sports Centre and involved 17 students and 15 staff.
The event, which also included a mock press conference, ended in a 2-1 victory for the students – but the real winner was St Luke's, which received a donation of £407.29, with more money still coming in.
