Adrian was educated in Sheffield and graduated from Durham University. After an executive career spanning the private and public sectors, he now holds a number of non-executive roles.
Adrian has been a lay member of Council of the University of Sheffield since 2014, and chaired it on an interim basis during 2022. He chaired Stockport NHS Foundation Trust from 2017 to 2021 since when he has been a non-executive director of NHS Property Services Ltd. These experiences have helped him to understand how care in the home and the community can provide the most appropriate form of support to patients and their families.
Adrian also chairs the MoD’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and has a keen interest in how academia, and the public and private sectors, by working together, can harness and apply research for the public good. Adrian lives locally and works extensively in Sheffield.
