YOUNG members of Sheffield community group The Hubb dipped into their own toy collections to make a very special contribution to our fundraising.
Founded more than three years ago, The Hubb is a grassroots community initiative, based on Abbeydale Road, that promotes personal and communal growth, learning and development.
Taking its name from Hubb - the Arabic word for love - and the English word hub, it also seeks to promote the mental, physical and spiritual growth of individuals through a range of sessions.
Those sessions cover a wide range of activities, including everything from wellbeing coffee mornings and Woodland Learning to Lego building, archery and wrestling.
And following a visit by our Engagement and Quality Officer Naureen Khan, the Hubb children donated for toys for resale in our chain of shops across the city.
“I was delighted to receive the toys the children had selected to donate in an effort to give back to their community and be generous in giving,” said Naureen.
“St Luke’s is proud to be able to say it serves all the many communities of Sheffield and by forging links with organisations like The Hubb, we can only strengthen the work our teams are doing across the city.”
