Sheffield's business leaders of the future are heading a new project aimed at giving St Luke's a greater voice in the community.
Being a Young Ambassador is a great way to have fun, meet people, gain fantastic experience, grow your professional network and make a meaningful difference to the lives of our patients and their loved ones and families. The main aim of the Young Ambassadors is to help more young people in Sheffield understand and champion the services St Luke’s provide and to do that we need your help.
Being a Young Ambassador means volunteering a few hours of your time each year to get involved. This includes attending St Luke’s and Young Ambassadors’ events, raising awareness of St Luke’s in your workplace and with friends and family, donating items to St Luke’s shops or nominating St Luke’s as the Charity of the Year for your company if appropriate.
The Young Ambassadors are led by a Committee of twelve members who organise specific events and other ways to support St Luke’s so all members know how they can get involved.
We are grateful for the support and commitment of the Young Ambassador Committee and we’re excited by the prospect of extending the Young Ambassadors network to include many more members from different background and communities, each bringing something special and helping to extend the network, with each person offering as much or as little as they can.
Every year we help around 1,800 patients, but we’d like to reach more. We are ambitious about improving the services we offer and the ways we can help and your support is a vital means of expanding on what we can do, who we can reach and how.
