Meals on Heels event raises cash for our patient care

TOO early to be thinking about Christmas? Not if you’re a supporter of Meals on Heels!

Meals on Heels is the special Festive Ladies’ Lunch and Shopping event, again this year supporting St Luke’s.

The event at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane Platinum Suite includes coffee and mince pies, a three course lunch, gift shopping, a champagne bar, raffles and an auction.

Meals on Heels is organised by voluntary fundraising group FFCC chaired by Julie Pickering, who has held the event for more than 30 years.

And it has proved so successful that it is now held on two successive dates to meet demand - November 28 and 29 – with more than 70 tables available over the two days.

Tables for eight to ten guests are available at an individual cost of £37 per person.

This year’s lunch is being held with the support of Abbey Forged Products, Ferndale Garden Centre and Irwin Mitchell.

Our Senior Fundraising Manager Megan Senior commented: “Meals on Wheels is a great fun event and one that really does make a fabulous contribution to the work we do with all St Luke’s patients and their families.”
