All aboard for First Buses anniversary Open Day

HOP aboard and support St Luke’s as First Buses celebrates the 60th anniversary of running buses from its Olive Grove depot in Sheffield with a special Open Day.

The family fun day will appeal to bus enthusiasts and families of all ages and will be held at the bus depot on Sunday, August 22 between 10am and 4pm.

As well as 50 heritage vehicles for transport lovers to explore, there will also be children’s fair rides, food stalls, a bus driving experience, a bus wash experience, an engineering walking tour of the garage, visits by the Sea Cadets and Fire Service and a tombola with great prizes and bucket collection.

There is no entry fee to the event, but all proceeds generated on the day are being donated to our patient care.

And in line with current Covid guidelines, visitors will be encouraged to wear face coverings and use hand sanitiser throughout the day.

“We are delighted that in this special anniversary year, First Buses have once again decided to support St Luke’s,” said our Senior Fundraising Manager, Clare Collingworth.
