IT really was a case of hair today and gone tomorrow as friends Fiona Oliver and Leo Lopez took the short cut to fundraising success.
The pair, who are both members of the Shared Service Team in the Carillion Customer Experience Centre, Sheffield, decided that the winter chill would not deter their decision to go hairless in support of St Luke’s.
Fiona had her head completely shaved while Leo gritted his teeth and had his legs waxed with almost 80 wax strips!
And between them they managed to raise more than £250 for us - with money still coming in!
“Our supporters are always prepared to go the extra mile when it comes to fundraising,” said our Corporate Fundraising Manager Joasia Lesniak.
“We just hope that as the temperature drops Fiona and Leo don’t regret having gone quite so far for us!”
