More than ever, St Luke’s needs you

You may have seen recent coverage of the national hospice funding debate on BBC News, addressing Hospice UK’s report of a staggering £77m funding deficit. Like many UK hospices, St Luke’s is facing the crippling impact of rising costs alongside increased demand for care. NHS funding covers just 23% of our running costs, which means we must raise over £11m of the £15m needed this year to continue providing our services to patients and families across Sheffield.

St Luke’s is here for people when a terminal diagnosis has turned life upside down. We can’t change that diagnosis, but we work incredibly hard to provide care, comfort and companionship throughout each person’s journey, both at our In Patient Centre and out in the community. People like you make this care possible. Every time you donate, fundraise, volunteer or shop with us, your support helps us continue caring for patients and families in Sheffield, now and in the future.

Join our Free Wills Month this April

Each April, St Luke’s partners with local solicitors across Sheffield to offer you the opportunity to make or update your Will in return for a suggested donation to the hospice.

Appointments are available throughout the month, giving you the chance to plan for your loved ones while supporting patients and families in our care. You may also choose to leave a gift in your Will to St Luke’s.

Shop at our charity shops or donate your pre-loved items!

We’re so grateful for your high-quality donations, which help stock our shops and raise money to support our care. Every item donated and every purchase made generates around £4m each year, helping us keep our services free for patients and families across Sheffield.
