St Luke’s wishes to recruit a Hospitality Assistant to join our excellent Hospitality team who provide a high quality drinks and meal service to our patients and their visitors at the hospice for 6 months. Working alongside our clinicians and our catering team; the Hospitality team provide a bespoke and unique service to our patients.
Food is a crucial part of the care our patients receive. Our catering team prepare locally sourced fresh food to cover all tastes and dietary requirements. The menus are fully flexible taking into account the wishes and requirements of each patient. Mealtimes are not set and patients can eat at any time of the day. Feedback on patient appetite also forms part of patient care.
As part of the Hospitality team you will deliver this service to patients and visitors and provide feedback to clinicians. You must have strong customer care skills, be empathetic kind and patient. You should be reliable, adaptable, show attention to detail, understand hygiene standards and be professional at all times. Training will be provided and there is opportunity to progress over time to become a trainer within the team.
