Why your help means so much

Only a third of our funding comes from the NHS, and this year alone we need to raise more than £4 million to carry on doing what we do.

More than 80 per cent of our income goes to fund direct patient care, and every year we help more than 1,400 patients, their families and carers - more than 5,000 people all told.

In today's difficult economic conditions, to raise the rest we depend more than ever on our supporters' commitment and generosity .

How can I get involved?

There are so many ways to support St Luke's;

• Regular giving. A great way to support us. Regular gifts means a predictable income for St Luke's which helps us plan our spending on patient care. It's easy to set up a direct debit online.
• Shop with us. Vist one of our St Luke's shops and bag yourself a bargain; or bring in your unwanted items for us to sell. We're always in need of quality goods to help fund our work.
• Play our Lottery. You're not only supporting St Luke's, but you also stand the chance of winning £2,000 every week, with rollover prizes of up to £10,000! You can sign up online to play
• Remembrance gifts. If you would like to donate money to celebrate the life of a loved one, you can do so via our donations page, in person, or by cheque made payable to St Luke's Hospice.
• Legacies. Many people choose to remember St Luke's by leaving a legacy in their will, which again is a crucial source of income for us.
• Fundraise for us. This is a really fulfilling and enjoyable way to help. From sponsored runs and sporting challenges to holding a coffee morning or organising a dress-down day at work, you can enjoy and challenge yourself whilst raising vital funds for St Luke's. • St Luke's events. Throughout the year we organise several public events for all the family, such as the sponsored Starlight Walk, our popular our Summer Fair with its many stalls and attractions and the magical Festival of Light in December.
