St Luke’s has come out top of the retail charts, beating the retail slump with an astonishing 37 per cent increase in Christmas sales!

Statistics show that our award-winning chain of shops enjoyed a like for like sales growth in December of 37.4 per cent, higher than any of Britain’s biggest retail giants.

“The extraordinary thing is that a retail giant like Tesco actually had a sales decrease of 2.3 per cent over the Christmas period,” said our Retail Development Manager, Darren Sterling.

“With people thinking much more about how they spend their money, the high standard of merchandise we stock at all our shops made us more attractive than ever over Christmas.”

But the surge in sales has led to just one problem… we have a bigger need than ever for new items!

“All our shops need as much new stock as possible,” said Darren. “So we really do need all our supporters to clear out their cupboards and bring us their unwanted but re-saleable goods.

“Those Christmas gifts that you really didn’t like or want could be just the thing that somebody else is looking for so bring them in to any of our shops.”

Items can be taken to any of our shops during normal opening hours, but please do not leave any items on the doorstep when the shops are closed. Unfortunately we are also unable to accept electrical goods.

Items of furniture are sold at our shop in Crookes and there is a collection service available. For further information, please call 0114 235 7562.
