The keen sports fans from the city organisation and their friends from the business community raised £5,500 for St Luke’s Hospice when they held their annual golf event at Abbeydale Golf Club.
Over the past 14 years the golf day has raised more than £65,000 for the hospice and this year’s final total was one of the most successful ever.
Open to teams of four players – from scratch to 24 handicap golfers – the day was co-organised by the Rotary Club and the St Luke’s Hospice Action Group.
More than 30 teams representing many of the city’s top companies took part in the day, with the winning team coming from Pricecheck Toiletries.
