Helen McCall and Keith Smith both have an extra special reason for supporting St Luke’s - they’re big money winners in our Lottery!

Helen, of Grenoside, has been a supporter of the Lottery since 1997 and has just won a rollover prize of £4,550, which she intends to invest in school trips for her three daughters, 16-year-old Hannah, Laura, aged 13, and Rachel, 9.

Keith, who lives in Beighton, has been playing since 1995 and has recently picked up the £2,000 weekly first prize.

“Winning the rollover was such a surprise,” said Helen. “I started playing from a flyer that came through the letter box and it was for such a good cause, but winning never entered my mind! I would encourage anyone to join because the money raised goes towards providing a vital facility for Sheffield. My tour of the hospice really opened my eyes to the excellent level of services they offer for patients and families and the quality of care they provide.”

Keith added: “It feels great to be a Lottery winner because it shows that real people can win money every week. I think people in Sheffield should join because the hospice helps not only patients but their families as well and families are so important."

The rollover has been won eight times in the last year, including a top sum of £9,800 in May 2011.
