Irwin Mitchell marks centenary by launching hospice charity partnership.

Irwin Mtchell jpgTop Sheffield law firm Irwin Mitchell is celebrating its 100th anniversary by launching a special partnership with St Luke’s and the Help the Hospices charity.

The firm, which has offices in Sheffield and employs over 2,000 members of staff across its national office network will be supporting Help the Hospices, the organisation that offers services to support hospice and palliative care professionals as they support their patients, as its national charity of the year. In Sheffield, Irwin Mitchell will also directly support St Luke’s.

The firm is committed to being a socially responsible organisation and encourages staff to take part in a variety of volunteering projects through a comprehensive community programme, covering raising attainment in schools, supporting vulnerable groups and offering pro bono support to those who need it the most.

Adrian Budgen, Partner at Irwin Mitchell and Chair of the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation said: “We are delighted to be supporting such a wonderfully deserving charity as St Luke’s Hospice in our centenary year as part of our partnership with Help the Hospices. St Luke’s has, for many years, played a crucial role in caring for people with life-limiting illnesses and we are very proud to play our part in supporting the charity to deliver such a valuable service.”

“We are delighted that Irwin Mitchell have decided to select us as their partner for their 100th anniversary year,” said our Chief Executive, Peter Hartland.

“Knowing that the whole Sheffield Irwin Mitchell team is supporting us in the year ahead is the best news we could have as we continue to raise £4 million annually, money that we need to maintain services at the hospice and in the wider community.

“We look forward to working with Irwin Mitchell over the next 12 months and take this opportunity to wish them a very happy 100th birthday.”
