Escafeld Brass Band have supported St Luke's Hospice on various occasions over the past year, holding a Christmas concert and organising collections for us at all their events. Band members even put their instruments to one side as they strode out for the first St Luke’s Starlight Walk.
“We are absolutely delighted with the support Escafeld Brass Band members have shown us throughout the year,” said our Community Fundraising Manager, Fran Morley.
“At the Starlight Walk alone they raised a fantastic £900, so we're hoping they will be supporting the event again this year, joining the thousands of St Luke’s supporters who will be taking part again this year".
The 2012 Starlight Walk will be held on Saturday May 12, from 4pm to 11pm and will include live music, entertainment and a fun group warm up for all walkers in Endcliffe Park.
Perfect for individuals, families, community groups and businesses, the individual registration cost is £15 per person or £10 per person for groups of 6 or more, while young people aged 5 to 15 can also take part for £10.
The walk itself starts at sunset at 8.45pm but entertainment in Endcliffe Park begins from 4pm, kicking off with the new 2k Mini Stars event, created specially for four to eight-year-olds and costing only £5 per child to register – a fun introduction to supporting our charity!
