Tasty treats thrill at Halloween
What better way to celebrate the creepiest night of the year than by sinking your teeth into a selection of devilishly tasty treats?
Staff at Sheffield chartered accountants Barber Harrison and Platt joined in the Halloween festivities by holding a fund-raising cake baking event in support of St Luke’s.
The cakes, which all had a spine-chilling theme, judged on looks – the scarier the better – and taste by St Luke’s Head Chef Nick Wilkes, head of BHP Charities and Not for Profit team Jane Marshall and BHP Managing Partner John Warner.
And with a selection that covered everything from The Nightmare Before Chistmas to a chocolate coated graveyard, the winner was a wicked sponge and icing Halloween lantern created by staff member Amy Capille.
BHP is sponsoring St Luke’s for 12 months and has already raised £2,500 for the hospice, with the aim of topping the £3,000 mark before next May.
