Judith leaps by example

Our Deputy Chief Executive takes up sponsored sky dive challenge.

Judith Park charity sky dive skydive St Luke'sWhen Judith Park, Deputy Chief Executive of St Luke's told her team to jump, she realised there was only one thing she could do… jump with them!

Which is why she will be leading a team from the hospice in a sponsored sky dive on Sunday 3 June 2012.

Judith hopes that by taking the plunge – including an initial 5,000 in freefall - she will personally be able to raise at least £1,000 for the hospice.

“I realised it’s no good asking other people to do fundraising if you’re not prepared to do something yourself,” said Judith.

“I’m excited by the challenge and the anticipated thrill of the jump, and after all, you only live once. It’s a great opportunity to do something that will benefit the hospice and give me the opportunity to achieve something I’ve always wanted to do.”

Judith will be performing a tandem jump – which means she will be attached to an experienced sky diver – in the skies above Brigg Airfield on Humberside.

“My aim is to raise £1,000 for the hospice,” she said. “And I’m sure there are enough people that would like to see me jump out of a plane to make that achievable!”
