Leap for St Luke's!

It's a Leap Year - so seize the day and make a difference for Sheffield's only hospice.

Leap for St Luke's2012 is a Leap Year, so February has 29 days instead of the usual 28 - meaning we all have an extra day to do something we might otherwise not have had time for. Margot Walker, our Corporate and Trusts Fundraising Manager is hoping that bonus time will help make a real difference for our hospice.

“Just think of the difference you could make if you put those 24 hours into fundraising for St Luke’s,” said Margot. “You could designate February 29 as St Luke’s Day and hold a fun event – anything from a sponsored leap to a cake sale. Or you could simply make February 29 the day that you commit to supporting St Luke’s in the year ahead.

“It’s all about taking the leap, launching yourself into something new and it’s ideal for businesses, school, community organisations or anybody who simply wants to do something to help us raise the £4 million we need annually to continue providing our excellent level of service for all the people of Sheffield".

Margot added that our fundraising team would be delighted to hear from anybody wanting to get involved.

“There are so many ways to support us and we are always very happy to offer advice and support to all fundraising activities. For companies, the day could be a great team building exercise and for everybody, it could be a lot of fun! Tell us what you are doing and help make a real difference for the families supported by St Luke’s".
