SIG Insulations Sheffield Half Marathon
Sunday 27 May 2012 at Don Valley Stadium, 9.00am, 13.1 miles The Sheffield Half Marathon is one of the biggest participation events in Sheffield’s sporting calendar, with city centre landmarks and roads lined with enthusiastic spectators supporting the 7,000 runners taking part.
There's also a 3km fun run held on the same day, so we'd love as many entrants as possible to take part in this event too.
This year St Luke’s is one of the chosen charities that the event is supporting, so we want to have as many people running for us as possible. Please join us - we’d love to have you on our team!
Securing a place
To take part in the Sheffield Half Marathon you need to sign up for a place, which you can do online at the Sheffield Half Marathon website, by downloading the PDF entry form - or we can send you a form in the post. Please call Fran Morley, our Community Fundraising Manager on 0114 235 7556 to request an entry form and tell us that you're running for St Luke's.
Fill in the form, nominating 'St Luke's Hospice' in the charity section on the right. Then divide the page in half as directed and post your completed form with a cheque or postal order for your entry payment to:
Sheffield Half Marathon, HS Sports Ltd, Unit 5, Radnor Park, Congleton, CW12 4XN.
Once you're signed up
Once you've joined the St Luke’s team we can support you in a number of ways:
- fundraising advice
- fundraising materials, such as sponsorship forms
- help with fundraising ideas
- a running vest to wear
- cheering squads on the route of the run.
For more information about any of the above, please contact Fran Morley by email f.morley@hospicesheffield.co.uk or call 0114 235 7556.
