We care for people aged 18 and above throughout Sheffield who have incurable illnesses. We aim to control their symptoms, alleviate pain, and give them the best possible quality of life – all free of charge.

St Luke’s plays a central part in the network of palliative care nursing and support services in Sheffield, collaborating with many other organisations and agencies in the city.

At St Luke’s we regard ourselves as a “teaching hospice”, and we have a long tradition of supporting both education and academic research in all aspects of palliative care.

Our trustees are responsible for ensuring that St Luke's is well-governed. Our distinguished President and Vice Presidents are not trustees, but play important roles as ambassadors and advocates for the hospice.

Patients assess St Luke's care
