Daniel is marketing director of Alpharooms, the Sheffield online discount travel specialists and the main sponsor of the Back to 1971 Party, the highlight of the St Luke’s Hospice 40th anniversary celebrations.
With no time machine at his disposal, all Daniel needed was a quick visit to the St Luke’s Hospice shop in Ecclesall Road, where he and St Luke’s corporate fundraising manager Margot Walker quickly found a full range of hits from '70s superstars, including everyone from Demis Roussos to Manhattan Transfer!
“We’re a local business so it’s important to us that we should support a local charity, and St Luke’s was the ideal choice,” said Daniel.
“Our staff have voted to raise money for the hospice in the past and we’re delighted to be supporting St Luke’s in its 40th anniversary year.”
The Back to 1971 Party comes to Sheffield City Hall Ballroom on Saturday 26 November from 9pm. It will include fairground rides, a ‘70s themed ice rink, food vendors, live performers and, of course, all the great sounds of the ‘70s.
